basketball ..

Remember this .. basketball goal installation process .. .. and how i questioned jeff on why in the world we needed a mammoth basketball goal in our driveway .. ellie wants to play basketball he kept telling me .. why will she want to play basketball i said .. why would she want a sweaty girl all up in her face and bumping in to her .. yuck .. she just will jeff says .. ok .. i said .. and we installed the basketball goal over a 3 week time period ..

well ..

 let me start with a disclaimer first .. if there is one thing that i dislike more than running out of oreos it's the lighting in gyms .. any gym .. old or new .. it just sucks .. there it is .. i said it .. there is really no way around it .. your pictures look yellow and gross .. so i try to avoid gyms .. when at all possible .. that is why i encourage sports that take place outside in the sunshine during a perfect kind of weather day

last night ellie had her last game .. yes .. i know i said last .. like all other sports in this world they happen on saturday .. this is not a good day for me so granny took her to most of her games .. then the blizzard came and then we went to KC for the weekend .. so last night was a makeup blizzard game which just happened to also be the last .. got to love monday nights ..

so lets's warm up and practice our shooting skills the coach says ..

when ellie plays sports she is always number 9 .. i remember her telling her soccer coach when we very first signed up that her dad always wears number 9 so that is the number that she wants .. and if she can't be number 9 then the coach will need to call her dad and get it straightened out .. number 9 is good luck .. and little ellie will need all the good luck that she can get ..

ok girls .. are we ready to have fun .. yes coach .. and we going to try our hardest .. yes coach .. good girls ..

right after this jeff pulls ellie aside and gives her his version of a pep talk .. forget about having fun ellie .. this is all about winning .. and remember .. you know you did a great job of blocking when the girl is so sick and tired of you having your hands in her face and your body all over her that she gets so mad she screams .. got it dad ..

lets just say thank goodness they don't call holding penalties or fouls are whatever they are called .. and little ellie had one thing that girl didn;t .. quick feet .. no matter which way she went .. ellie was all over her .. all the time ..

again .. i say to you .. what in the world is wrong with ballet and lip gloss ..
