they're gone ..

mom and dad left last friday morning .. early friday morning.. we woke up to say our goodbyes .. the scheduled departure time was 6 am .. we were a little early .. ellie did not want to miss them ..

oh .. here they come ..

that is jim beckham sitting in dads truck .. jimmy as cash calls him .. he is going along with mom and dad on this trip .. and that is mom and ellie's new dog .. lucky #7 ..

so you are thinking that i am switching into panic mode right about now .. my mom leaving .. for 17 days .. no .. i am  ok .. hank and denise will be here for a bit to tend to us .. and watch the kids while i work ..

its after hank and denise leave that i will switch into panic mode ..

17 days .. of riding their ranger and camping out ..  half of them in utah .. the other half in colorado .. you know .. where the high is not 100 .. where the vegetation is not brown because it has been cooked by the scorching oklahoma sun .. where you can sit outside in the morning and drink your iced latte without breaking a sweat .. where the air smells clean and crisp not burnt ..

we will be ok mom and dad .. don't worry about us .. we got it handled .. we are going to crank down the ac .. buy 17 days worth of oreos .. cuddle in bed and watch home movies of you .. have a safe and fun trip .. we will be here when you get home ..
