mom .. mom .. we are going to make a worm farm with julie ...

so i come home from work on saturday and ellie says to me .. mom .. mom .. we are going to make a worm farm with julie .. we watched a show about it today .. doesn't that sound like fun .. i look at julie .. thinking .. ok .. a worm farm .. but .. wait a minute .. don't you teach .. PE .. i was the science teacher ..

so .. when i come home from work on sunday .. i brought worms with me .. the kids and julie worked on the worm habitats while i was at work .. seems that they were not able to find any worms .. not a one .. they had layers of sand and dirt .. sprinkled with some water and grass for the worms to "eat" ..

so we put the worms from the little white container .. into their new habitat .. notice that my dirt loving son is using a spoon .. and my bbq ellie is using her hands .. interesting ..

these little worms are lucky .. we saved them from being fish bait .. now they get to live a long life .. under the ever so watchful eyes of ellie and cash ..

ellie is very excited about this little project ..

and of course this morning we had to get them out and say good morning to them today .. i tell you these worms are spoiled .. the care that they are going to receive is first class .. it's like the 4 seasons .. for worms .. i just hope they survive ..
