we're home .. rested and ready to go .. i think ..

we made it home wednesday afternoon .. we are rested and recharged and ready to go for this coming week ... i thought that i would share with you just a few of the things that we saw and smelled .. when we left on monday afternoon with the sun to our backs .. jeff was wound tighter than a top and i was exhausted to the point of tears .. i put bon jovi in the ears and closed my eyes until we were out of oklahoma .. when i woke up we were in missouri .. now remember we stay on the little state highways that are just 2 tiny lanes .. these roads wind thru very little towns .. which usually means that there are very interesting things to see .. we drove by a house that had an entire living room in the front yard .. complete with lamps and a frig .. there were 2 big ole fellas sitting on the couch .. and 1 big big fella sitting in the ez-chair .. we got a nod and a wave from them when we drove by ... i wondered for the rest of the day if they had any furniture inside their house ?  .. right after that place we drove by lots and lots of hay fields .. i love the smell of fresh cut hay .. there was a grandpa on the big tractor raking the hay into nice neat rows and then there was the dad that came behind him with the baler and then the sons behind him picking up the bales .. 3 generations right there before my very eyes making hay .. i love things like that .. we saw lots and lots of rolling green fields .. some with cows some without .. the smell of wild flowers and wild rose bushes along the highway .. who does not like the smell of roses .. of course there is also the pugnet odor of the chicken houses .. if there is even the slighest breeze and it is blowing your way .. the odor can knock you right off the motorcycle .. so you have to watch out .. we saw santa and his reindeer atop a roof .. already for the coming holiday season .. we saw washers and dryers .. old cars .. swing sets .. old tv's .. old barns .. new barns and lawn mowers ( push and ride-ons) .. but i think that the best thing we saw was just a sign .. that read .. "big fat hog fer sale" .. i begged jeff to stop so that i could take a picture of the sign and then go and see about that hog  .. just how big is a big fat hog .. doesn't that make you wonder ? we also saw these items ..

which of course we had to purchase immediately .. for the kids .. now .. just how are we going to pack those on the motorcycle and bring them home you ask ... i will let you just keep a wondering on that ..
