we got game .. michael jordan come on over ..

monday night .. after a delicious dinner that i cooked myself .. gasp .. you all say .. yes i cook .. we got motivated to finish the basketball goal installation .. claps all around .. now .. remember .. the directions say that you need at least 6 adults .. i am pretty sure that they mean .. 6 big strapping boys when they say this ... but we had .. jeff .. dad .. mom .. me .. and little blue the tractor .. yes .. we name our big equipment around here .. not to be confused with BIG blue .. so lets get a plan together ..

we are going to hook up the goal with some big straps and then lift it up with the tractor .. sounds easy enough .. right ..

ok .. you wrap the straps around the goal and then put them on the forks of little blue ..

 lets see .. just where shoud they go ..

ok .. goal is up .. now we just have to swing it around and line it up with the j bolts that are waiting inn the concrete .. all this without breaking the glass backboard ..

ok .. almost there ..

a little more to the left i think .. and i am pretty sure that thongs are not the best shoe choice for what we are doing ..

and it's on there .. at this point i am wondering to myself .. how do people that buy basketball goals like this install them if they don't have a little blue .. do they pay someone to do it .. do they enlist the help of 5 of their friends and cook them hamburgers and promise them cold beer when they are done .. i mean really how do they do it ?  i should probably be paying attention to what is going on .. my part is coming up next and here i am thinking to myself and taking pictures .. coming babe ..

see how well it is lining up .. now .. just how are we going to stand it up straight you ask .. very carefully ..

we had to wiggle it just a bit .. ok .. jeff had to wiggle it just a bit .. see the cardboard on the glass .. that was my idea .. so smart am i .. well .. if i was really smart .. i would have paid someone to do this for me .. but where would the fun be in that .. right ... yes .. you say ..

see mom  ..  mom and i held onto the yellow ropes so the whole goal would not fall over on poor jeff .. because if he got hurt who would mow and take out the trash .. we can not let jeff get hurt .. where i am you ask .. i made them stop the whole process so that i could take a picture .. lets just say that that did not go over so well with jeff .. just a mintue babe ..

quick .. hurry .. put those nuts on those silly j bolts and tighten that thing down ..

and there you have it ladies and gentlemen .. our basketball goal .. now by this time it is almost 9 .. kids we have to go in and take a shower .. are you kidding me jeff says .. we are going to play basketball .. !!!!!!
