a new addition ..

if you think this post is about cash and a new piece of heavy equipment you are wrong .. 

so very very wrong ..

this is about my dad .. and his new motorized vehicle .. or i mean motorcycle ..

back in the fall .. when it was crisp and cool outside and the leaves were pretty shades of orange and yellow and not burnt to a crisp .. and it was .. at this very moment .. an unimaginable 72 degrees outside .. my dad ordered a new motorcycle .. one that could make the trip all the way to prudhoe bay alaska .. it seems that he and his very long time friend dominic were planning a trip .. you just can't ride any kind of motorcycle to alaska .. it has to be an on-road/off-road kind of motorcycle .. the roads aren't paved due to the effect the extreme temps would have on the asphalt/concrete .. but that science lesson is for another day ..  

the last motorcycle dad rode to prudhoe bay .. yes this will be his 2nd trip .. he sold .. something about alot of miles .. so he needed a new one .. a new on-road/off-road one 

well .. after many delays and postponed shipment dates .. it's in .. it was supposed to be here in early may .. so they could go to alaska in june .. well .. it wasn't here so they went to nova scotia and newfoundland instead .. 

they will go to alaska june 2012 .. so mark your calendar .. 

dad ordered a different seat .. one that makes the height of the motorcycle just a bit shorter .. this is good that way when he stops his feet can touch the ground .. not saying that my dad is short .. the motorcycle is to tall .. 

no biggie though .. 

a different seat .. a few twists and torques with some tools and it was all good ..

it is a metallic blue .. or sparkly .. depends if you are dad describing the color or ellie ..

dad though it would be fun to stand under the big red bull banner .. 

see .. he can touch the ground .. thanks to the new seat that makes the motorcycle shorter ..
