this is how i feel .. just like little ellie .. standing on the beach in florida .. watching the last few minutes of the sun going down .. wishing for more time .. more time to play in the sand .. more time to play in the sun .. more time to spend with friends ..
while i am happy for fall to come .. i will miss the ease of summer .. i will miss the late nights .. not having to rush home .. rush thru dinner .. hurry thru homework .. take a speedy-quick bath .. read a very short story and then hurry go to sleep so that you are not a zombie at school tomorrow because your mother made you stay up late .. because you played outside on the new playground past dark .. because i just can't seem to get on the "school schedule" ..
and with labor day comes the changing of the seasons here at work .. we have said goodbye to most of our watercraft customers .. afterall their kids have started school and football and cheerleading and all that stuff .. so they are on a "school schedule" to .. i wonder if they miss the ease of summer like i do .. the "school schedule" isn't exactly lake friendly .. so while our watercraft customers are now going to football games and working on spelling lists .. our atv and motorcycle customers are not .. wierd how this works .. soon we will be calling on daniels fork lift driving skills so that we can change over the show room .. we will start grilling hot dogs on saturdays as we watch football .. we will break out the jeans .. long sleeves and fleece ... and then we will blink and summer will be here ..
