hey boys .. want to come over for dinner ...

it just so happens that i made a huge huge pan of lasagna the other night .. i asked the fellas if they would like to come over for a big ole heaping plate of cheesy lasagna and hot bread .. they said they would love to .. and then maybe .. i said .. we could work on the slide .. 

 

jeff and i had tried to work on the slide the night before .. this is how it went .. babe hold it higher .. babe .. don't let it move when i hammer on it .. babe .. really .. can you not hold it up .. i then said .. babe .. i'm done .. and went an ran ..

 i am so glad that daniel and noah are stronger than me .. that they can hold the slide up ..

it seems that jeff and i were not installing the slide correctly the night that we tried .. boy .. things are so much easier when you do them the right way ..

so they hammered and drilled on the slide for about 10 minutes and then ..

yea .. !!!

it seems that cash needed some extra tools for the long arm part of the playground .. this is the part that comes off the main part and you attach the swings etc to ...

look jeff .. right here .. it says that we need to ... there was a big discussion about how to do the long arm part ..

i am not so sure what is so funny .. maybe the whole craziness of this playground .. maybe the fact that it takes 3 very smart and handy people to do it .. what i can't figure out is this .. it was taken us at least a week to do this .. and we are not done .. how can the "professional installers" knock it out in 4 hours .. the lady at jack wills said that most of the play systems can be assembled in 4 hours .. it took us 4 hours to read the directions and figure out where to even start ..

this is the long arm .. dad had to drive his ranger around so that jeff could stand on it to hold up the long arm so that daniel could twist in the big bolts to attach it to the main frame .. and speaking of big bolts .. there was one huge big bolt in all the hardware .. to attach the long arm to the main part .. well .. cash found this long huge bolt and claimed it as his own and put it in his tool box .. we looked and hunted and tried other bolts .. none of course would work .. then i thought to ask cash .. cash do you have a big bolt i asked .. yes mom .. he says .. hand it over cash .. but mom he says .. cash .. stay out of the hardware .. !!

now the other end ..

that is where we stopped .. it was getting too dark to see and the cupcakes were ready .. so we had to stop .. cupcakes make everything stop .. if you ask me that is ..
