hey there monkey ..

we are down to the monkey bars .. this is a noah &/or daniel job .. babe cannot help with this .. so even after working a long holiday weekend .. noah was game for monkey bar installation on tuesday morning .. i'll make muffins i said .. blueberry noah asks .. yes .. blueberry .. ok .. i am in .. noah says ..

while jeff and noah were consulting the manual and looking for bolts a2879 and nut 52 .. cash carried all the boxes up the slide .. i know .. you go down slides .. not up .. especially with boxes ..

we had to measure and hammer ..

see .. this is not a babe job .. big and heavy .. and hey babe does not do big and heavy ..

they decided to attach the legs to the monkey bars first and then attach that to the main part ..

this is not as easy as jeff and noah make it look ..

jeff had to hold it just so .. that way noah could hammer bolt a1765 in ..

and then they dropped the bolt and washer ..

i am pretty sure that these are mike's tools .. i am not sure if he knows that we have them or not .. i am crossing my fingers that jeff asked .. otherwise i see me baking a batch of cookies with a note attached saying a big thank you for letting us use mike's fancy tools ..

see .. nuts .. bolts .. and washers .. you will notice that jeff has them all organized in piles ..

the poor little backhoe is waiting for the sandbox .. it will be just a bit .. we have to finish the playground first ..

cash was visiting his heavy equipment .. we finally moved it off the back porch down to the playground ..

almost there .. this is the interesting part of the morning .. seems that either we used 6 bolts .. nuts .. and washers someplace where we weren't supposed to .. or cash has raided the parts box and taken them for his own .. cash and i had to make a quick run to jones hardware for a few extra pieces ..

and .. we have monkey bars .. the battery went out on mike's fancy drill soon after this so they had to stop .. it was time for lunch anyway .. all the big parts are now done .. we lack just the little things .. like the spotting scope .. the steering wheel and a few more ropes .. for the most part we are done ..

during lunch jeff says to me .. hey babe .. want to move all those heavy blocks and start the sandbox .. sure .. i say .. why not .. we are on a roll .. man .. i say to myself .. i sure wish noah wouldn't have left so soon ..
