happy 4th .. a few days late ..

for the first time in 7 years .. we put the boat in and watched the fireworks from the water instead of on land .. the kids were not sure what to expect .. ellie thought that we were going to do some skiing .. and cash .. were not sure what we was thinking .. but .. duck creek is no wake the entire day .. so really you just idle around and look at all the boats and people floating in the water .. watch the war birds fly around .. drink root beer and eat cheetos ..

remember we work over the 4th so that is why this post is just a tad bit late .. festive still .. just late .. here is our ms. firecracker ..

while we were out boating we ran into noah .. on his new seadoo ..

we also saw daniel .. remember he is the one that drives the forklift ..

the war birds were out flying around before the fireworks started .. cash wants one of those ..

i will have to say that they are pretty neat ..

boats .. all tied up ..

the planes would all fly together sometimes .. the kids really thought that this was neat ..

until the cobalt guys came by with the popsicle boat ..

now .. it was all about frozen treats .. what planes ..

see .. poor cash .. you would think that he never had one of those before ..

the firework barge ..

there was still a chance of rain so they had some of them covered up with plastic .. those are some big fireworks ..

we did some sparklers of our own .. off the back of the boat ..

and then we had about 20 minutes before the fireworks started .. it was to dark to swim .. they were full of cheetos and root beer .. so we watched some movies ..

and then .. boom .. let the celebration begin ..

it was a little trickier this year taking pictures because the boat moves .. and to get good firework pics .. you have to be really still ..

but .. i think that these turned out ok ..
