grandpa is home .. from alaska ..

my dad got back from his trip to alaska last night .. 

they rode a little over 9000 miles on their motorcycles ..

cash only asked about 9000 times how many more days until grandpa gets home ..

and they have given him about 9000 hugs since he has been home .. 

dad decided somewhere in montana that he wanted a camera .. 

i called and talked to the lady at the walmart and got dad all dialed in ..

he just had to go and pick it up ..

i will have to say .. he got some pretty great pics ..

i am going to share a few of them with you .. 

Opening ceremonies ..

Because everyone lays on the floor in the kitchen and watches the opening ceremonies ..

they're home ..

jeff and the kids got home from their "no mamma's allowed" trip to dallas

they picked up hunter in oklahoma city and then meet up the uncle jay .. syd .. and cj

cash told me that since no mamma's were allowed he was:

1 .. not going to change his underwear ..

2 .. not going to use soap when he took a shower and 

3 .. he was going to drink pop all day long ..

i told him that was just fine .. but when he got home he was going to take a shower with soap ..

change his underwear and drink alot of water .. 

they came home with 3 bags .. 

a big bag for ellie .. 

a medium bag for cash ..

and a tiny bag for mamma .. 

i think "no mamma trips allowed" are a great idea .. 

boating day with the ballet girls ..

the ballet girls came up last week for our annual ballet girls boating day ..

they have all gotten so pretty ..

cash was thrilled with the idea of a boat load full of pretty pretty girls .. 

oh dad this is going to be a great day !

it was an exhausting day for the small ones of our group .. 

luckily they were able to catch 20 winks between the tubing and cliff jumping .. 

this is a first for cash .. the kids have always stayed in the boat when we are done ..

we let jeff off at the dock .. he backs the truck into the water and then jumps back into the boat and then loads the boat onto the trailer ..

not this time .. cash had to get out and go with jeff .. 

he was showing off for the girls in the worst way ...

he kept hollaring at jeff ..

some more dad .. almost there ..

and what's with the turned around backwards hat ?

i asked him after the ballet girls had left ..

his response to me ..

the ballet chicks dig backwards hats mom ..

oh .. ok .. i said .. 

pj day and airplanes

we had a pj day today .. jeff left early to deliver a ranger and then run errands .. 

so the kids and i elected to sleep in .. stay in our pj's all day and watch tv ..

this was great until about 5 .. then all the stored up energy started to kick in ..

we got out our little rubber band balsa wood airplanes .. and went out into the front yard .. 

ready ..

set ..

go !!!

we only had 1 big crash and had to perform one kinda minor repair ..

our hideaway getaway .. kid style ..

because our kids didn't want to go and hide out at mayo ..

something about not finding being in a dark cold room 

watching trash tv for 3 days not being any fun at all .. 

we went and hid out at the gaylord texan in dallas .. 

because after the 12 day work week we had we weren't sure we would be able to find our cabana ..

a place to store your bucket of bud light lime .. your pitcher of sangria and your cold towels ..

i have ordered one of these for our back porch 

thank goodness jeff didn't have to move very much ..

he is watching espn on the tv in the cabana while hollaring for babe to turn it up .. get him a cold rag and a beer .. of which i did neither because i couldn't reach any of it from where i was sitting .. 

there was plenty to keep the kids busy busy busy 

and if they weren't in the water they were blowing huge bubbles .. 

greg .. johanna and hunter joined us as well ..

greg is commenting on what a wonderful photographer i am and how fancy my new camera is ..

and hey .. that guy has the same swimming suit as me  ..

i look way way cooler in it though .. 

they had a zip line .. everyone but me and johanna zipped .. 

even cash .. technically he was to short but jeff stuck him up there and pushed him on out .. 

something about a height requirement .. 

jeff made an extra big splash to cool off the life guard ..

to thank him for letting cash go just once ..

and then he had to show off and do a flip ..

and then greg had to show up jeff and show off for everyone else that he could do a can opener with his mouth open ..

i am telling you .. he has some diving skills ..

right after he gets out of the water he starts to tell me how bad his shoulder hurts and maybe he should go back to the cabana and lie down for a bit ..

big talker .. 

we ate popsicles and then ran around and tried to touch each other with our sticky hands ..

yuck .. i did not play this game ..

most of all we got hot .. played in the sun to long .. swam to much and ate alot ..

plus we drank about 15 gallons of dr. pepper thanks to my $10 free refill cup ..

it was just the thing to erase the 12 day work week ..
