because we needed more of these .. we sent dad on a road trip ..
not the kind of road trip where you pack snacks and games to play in the car and stop at all the wonderful sights along the way to your destination ...
dad went on the kind of road trip where you don't get to stop unless you need to get diesel .. and if you are stopping to get diesel that means that you are in a big big truck that probably smells like sweaty boys .. oil and gas .. yuck !!!
dad started out at 6 am .. i know this because i meet him on the driveway .. i was getting ready to go and run .. and dad was leaving .. i asked him about what time could we expect him home .. around 8:45 or 9 he said .. ok .. i said .. have a safe trip and see you tonight ..
ok he said ..
his first stop was richardson texas .. which is just on the outskirts of dallas ..
this second stop was ft worth .. and then his last stop was oklahoma city ..
and yes .. he was home at 9 that night ..
and yes it was a long day ..
and yes they are all sold
and yes he will be making another road trip ..
but he will have to do it quick .. he leaves for nova scotia and new foundland on his motorcycle right after july 4th !!
