she's naked ..

since i can't sleep i thought that i may as well get up and post and eat one of ellie's krispy creme donuts .. ok .. i ate 2 of them .. but really who can resist at 4:30 am .. 

we paid a visit to the bqbird yesterday .. that is her new name .. i think i might have to get a new license plate for her .. anyway .. i hardly recognized her .. she was naked .. when we walked into the shop i saw this all silver looking car and thought .. ummm .. where is the t-bird ?

well .. it was her !!

she what i mean .. remember when she left she was white .. well .. kinda white .. more like really old white .. the fellas have sanded all the paint off of her .. they did make the comment that she has never been repainted or had any body work done .. that was nice to know i thought ..

they took the lid off of the trunk .. that and the hood needed a few touch ups ..

see .. no hood ... or headlights .. they have taken off all of the chrome as well 

they have taken out the back seats to .. pretty gross in there .. evidently there was a family of mice living in the head liner ..

the motor .. it will be painted and all pretty to when it is done ..

ellie is so excited .. she is just sure that i am going to take her to school in the bqbird .. 

a bq driving her bbq to school in the bqbird ..

i kinda like the sound of that ..

i am pretty sure that great grandmother spielmann would have liked that as well 

oh .. and the best part .. ernie .. one of the wonderful fellas taking care of her .. it seems that he knows my dad .. from way back .. when they were kids and used to do things that kids were NOT supposed to do .. of course cash and ellie want to hear all about this .. 

i told them next time .. 

oh .. and .. all i can say .. is that these guys are so on the cookie list !!!

well .. the sun is coming up .. may as well go and put in some training miles for the marathon .. or i mean run off the 1.. i mean 2 krispy cremes that i had ..
