Happy Birthday Grandpa ..

we had a very no fuss no frills kind of birthday for Grandpa on Friday night .. all he wanted was to have hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner ..

so we did .. and 1 little present from Granny ..

Grandpa if this is a truck can i have it .. oh please grandpa .. is there a truck in there .. oh .. i sure hope so ..

no .. cash .. there was not a truck in there .. a big outdoor thermometer so that Grandpa knows how cold it is out there ..

dad did not want a fancy cake from merritts like jeff got .. just hamburgers and hot dogs .. so when he asked .. well did you make me a chocolate sheet cake like jeff got .. i said no .. remember you said that you did not want a cake .. well .. dad says .. i did want a cake .. a chocolate one like jeff got .. oh but dad .. i did one better than a chocolate sheet cake like jeff .. i got you a strawberry pie from sandy .. your most favorite .. hand made with lots of love .. and hand delivered to mrs. vaughn's classroom and picked up by granny and ellie .. cash could not play a part in our little surprise birthday gift to granpda because he CAN NOT keep a secret .. and he would have told granpda ..

cash:  what do you mean .. there really is no cake mom .. ellie:  oh look at all that whip cream ..

oh gosh .. a little bit got on my finger .. cash seems to think that the strawberry pie might just be ok .. oh .. cash .. i say .. you bet that strawberry pie is going to be ok .. i just hope that grandpa will share it with us .. next year we might have to get 2 pies ..

one for the party .. and one for granpda to have all to himself .. for breakfast

sandy .. you really out did yourself this year .. and it was a surprise .. grandpa wished that he had not eaten that 3rd hotdog .. but believe me .. he still had room for a big ole slice of pie ...
