a visitor

it was another perfectly cloudy day at "work"

my mom and dad stopped by to say hello .. 

they are going to stay with us for a bit ..

can you hear the cheers of ellie and cash !

after dinner we walked around jackson ..

ellie and granny found the movie star glasses .. 

happy happy family .. 

so lucky that we are able to create these memories ..

truly blessed

even a cloudy day is a beautiful day in the tetons ..

we drove out to teton point to watch the sunset .. 

it wasn't spectacular but it's the sunset .. in the tetons 

plus .. these faces ..

yellowstone

yes we took steve with us to yellowstone ..

he doesn't like to be home alone

last year when we went to yellowstone the grand prismatic spring was covered in fog 

you couldn't see any of the amazing colors 

well .. today the sun was out and it was beautiful 

who knew that those crazy heat loving microbes could be so pretty 

we caught old faithful erupting .. 

and then stopped by the continental divide on the way back to jackson

cash is throwing peace signs in every picture that i take !

steve goes to lake jackson

we took steve to lake jackson today ..

he wanted to get out of the house and go explore

the views did not disappoint steve ..

everywhere he looked it was breathtaking ..

i did not share my oreos with steve .. 

but i did eat them while the kids swam in lake jackson 

and for the record ..

the water in the creek

behind the house is colder than the water in lake jackson

or so the say .. 

a little early ..

i am usually at work by 9:45 .. 

by then the breeze is just enough that it ripples the waters of string lake

and you can not see the reflection of the the mountains in the water

but this morning i got there at 9:30 ..

i was not disappointed

oreos and steve

i ate my oreos with a view today .. 

and cash found hulk hogan aka steve in the river today ..

he performed a "river rescue"

steve is now going to live with us
