Happy Birthday Karen !

we celebrated yesterday .. 

karen turned 40 ..

and she finished the Route 66 marathon .. 

rhonda made us a delicious lunch .. 

we had a very fun time celebrating ..

thank you karen for being brilliant and sparkly

the nutcracker ..

on sunday .. granny .. ellie .. her sweetest friend jodie and i went to tulsa to see the nutcracker .. 

we had the BEST day ever ..

we started with lunch at panera ..

where the girls rated each of the 4 different kinds of cookies we had for dessert ..

chocolate chip came in first with the m&m a close second .. 

after the nutcracker ..

we hit starbucks at utica for a hot chocolate and then did a little window shopping ..

we went into pottery barn kids to "look around" .. i still fall for that one ..

we also went to bath and body works and smelled every single hand sanitizer until we found just the right ones ..

we had the best sunday .. ever ..

girls .. and giggles .. and laughter and hushed whispers and smiles ..

i am a lucky momma .. 

christmas dinner in okc ..

ellie was stunning ..

cash was silly .. 

dinner was spectacular .. 

serves him right ..

we found elf this morning hanging ..

from the clip on the marshmallow bag .. 

it seems that he was into the marshmallows ..

not sure why .. 

maybe he was going to roast one .. or two .. 

when we went to go and close the marshmallow bag up .. 

he got stuck in it ..

it seems that he didn't pull his hands out fast enough when he let go of the clip ..

at least the bag is closed .. i don't like hard marshmallows 

a boy and his trains ..

before we came home from oklahoma city on sunday we stopped off at the train show ..

everything you could possibly imagine associated with trains was there ..

we picked up a few pieces to add our growing collection that lives under the pool table ..

this is union station ..

we also added an airport hanger and a fire station ..

cash is still working on getting it all organized ..

there are trains and trucks and track everywhere .. 

you have to watch where you step ..

or you will end up stepping on something related to a train ..

while we were in okc celebrating christmas with jeff's family

elf thought that he would play with our funny faces ..
