This is how my day is going to start ...

a mess .. a big mess ..

what a mess .. there are no other words that i can think of right now .. granted my brain has been on overload these last few days .. but really ..

we pull into our driveway on sunday night about 9 .. there are trailers greeting us at the gate as we pull thru ..

dad spent all day saturday digging them out of the snow first and then pulling them out of the snow and up by the front gate so that we could hook up to them on monday morning and start pulling stuff home ..

the last thing that we needed was to get all our trucks stuck ..

see .. what a mess ..

so .. they get all the trailers to the boat show ..

now it is time to load them up and pack up and get out .. there is just a bit of a time crunch here .. we have to be out by tuesday .. at 2 !!  6 days to move in .. 2 days to move out ..

so things were taken down and pretty much thrown into whatever trailer was close ..

ellie and i came back from a few errands to this .. cash stayed with "the boys" to help .. it seems that he had had a little too much "girl time" being with granny and ellie all week .. mom mom he says .. watch this ..

i wonder sometimes about those 2 .. didn't they have work to do .. or did they just play the whole day ..

it seems that they worked while jeff was looking and then played when he wasn't ..

birthday love ..

yesterday was my birthday ..

my dad surprised me by bringing my sweet kiddos and my mom up to the boat show .. i have not been home this entire week due to the 14 inches of snow on the ground .. and i have been missing my family ..

they brought presents with them ..

ellie made me this card .. check out the sparkly BQ crown ..

they made me cake balls with pretty sprinkles ..

i got a new pretty pair of pj's ..

and a fun new pair of earrings ..

the birthday love did not stop there .. emily .. mike and the girls came by to say happy birthday as well .. and bring me a little birthday love ..

they were delicious .. i ate them both ..

also got a little birthday love from julie .. she braved the snowy streets and paid a visit to merritts to pick up my most favorite cookie in the whole entire world .. thumb prints .. i ate all of those to

i got a fun new birthday ornament from toby and susie to .. i need to take a pic of it for you .. will do that tonight when i get back to the "frat house"

i spent the day with the fellas and i got lots of wonderful birthday wishes and hugs from friends and family ..

 i will have to say that i for sure won't forget this one ..

an update ..

we braved it again this morning and drove to the boat show .. or carpooled .. that would be a better word .. my car is in the garage at the frat house .. jeff's truck does not do so well in the snow .. so mike and toby are responsible for transportation .. mike and i attempted to drop off the cleaning at yale cleaners on 71st and sheridan .. they were CLOSED .. not a tire track thru the entire parking lot .. not sure what we are going to wear the next few days .. yikes ..

thank goodness there is a starbucks just down the road .. just the idea of a hot cup of love made the fact that i might be wearing dirty clothes for the next 3 days seem ok .. not really .. but i had to tell myself something ..

i didn't have the heart to ask mike to go to barnes and noble and pick up my copies of black heels to tractor wheels .. the book by pioneer woman .. it came in on monday night .. my pre-blizzard plan was to pick it up on tuesday morning on my way in and read it during any down time that i might have at the boat show ..

instead of reading i am checking for school closings and road conditions .. kinda the same thing .. just lacks the romance thats all ..

my kids you ask .. well .. they of course are just fine .. they are having a super time with granny and grandpa .. seems that cash has spent a little time on the tractor with grandpa moving snow and watching the road graders remove snow from our road ..

cash has also been napping on the kitchen floor with lucky ..

ellie has been working on her lego house .. check out the satellite dish on the roof .. i wonder if it has wi-fi ?

and me .. i am sitting at the boat show .. with my 52 oz of crystal light and the fellas ..

an update .. on the boat show and the blizzard ..

we had the best of intentions .. we got ready and dressed to go to the boat show .. jeff even shoveled a path down the driveway to mikes truck and then pulled his truck up onto the driveway .. so that i didn't have to walk thru the snow .. we had every intention of going to the boat show ..

even though the city of tulsa is recommending that everyone stay home .. please don't get out on the roads .. please stay inside where it is warm ..

even the little voice in my head said this is a bad idea .. we still went .. it's the boat show after all .. they even made an announcement when the show closed last night that they will be open on tuesday .. no matter what happens with the weather ..

well ...

we made it to the show .. but no one was there .. can you believe it .. !!!

and since we did not plan on being stuck in our little house all week ... we had NO food .. beer and oreos don't get you far .. they work for me but not for the fellas .. we made a run to reasors .. and yes they were open .. so we stocked up on a few goodies .. loaded back up in mike's truck .. jeff's truck is stuck .. and came back home .. we are going to be lazy and watch tv ..

so that we can try again tomorrow ..

and cash .. well .. poor little cash locked himself in the cubby of a boat .. it seems that he was in there for a good 30 minutes .. thankfully steve travis heard him kicking and pounding on the door and let him out .. steve travis you are a good man !

not to worry .. he is ok ..

he is going to stay home with ellie .. granny and grandpa .. and play in the snow all day ..

me and the fellas .. well ..

we are going to dig out the trucks and try to head to the boat show .. we are going to stop by a starbucks first ..
