race weekend ..

it's race weekend at our house .. 

grandpa .. the rb ,, cash's ktm and his gear bag are already in whiterock, arkansas ..

granny and the kids are heading there today .. 

this is cash's "pit bike"

it used to be a pink barbie bike but jeff and the fellas at work re-purposed it 

cash rides it around the rb before his race .. 

all the pedaling warms up his leg muscles for his race ..

let's just hope he doesn't crash on his bike !!!

ahhhhh ... sunshine ...

we have spent the last few days enjoying the sunshine and the warm temps ...

we have played in the sand .. 

we have played with wesley .. 

we made cookies ..

and sand castles ..

and played ball ..

and most importantly .. 

napped .. 

happy st. patricks day !!

we spent st. patricks day on the greeens .. 

wearing our green .. 

quarters ..

jeff and ellie got home from soccer practice about 8:15 ..

jeff had taken the aluminum cans to recycle today and had 2 dollar bills and half dollars .. 

so he lays it out so that cash can count it and then divide it in half ..

this some how turns into lets get out our quarter books and see if we

have any that we are missing ..

i'm saying .. no it's 8:45 ..

it's time for bed ..

ellie still had to shower .. cash still needed to read ..

but instead we are laying across the kitchen table hollaring out new hampshire ..

i found new hampshire !!!

what we did before the supercross

for those of you that wonder what you do before the super cross ..

you tailgate like you do before a football game ..

you do scooter tricks ..

you crash .. 

you hollar NOOOOO at grandpa when he wants to ride the scooter

and then cheer when he says he probably shouldn't ..

you lay in the sunshine and nap ..

you stand in front of the gigantic mirror and take a picture of yourself ..

can you see us .. 

you play catch and laugh and smile .. 

its a long day of family fun followed by a night of dirt and exhaust ..

i will have to say that i am kinda sad that we are only going to 1 super cross this year ..

please don't tell jeff .. 

national pancake day ..

on saturday ellie saw a commercial for ihop proclaiming that tuesday was national pancake day ..

oh mom she said .. we HAVE to eat pancakes on tuesday ..

ok .. we can do that .. 

so we had pancakes for breakfast this morning ..

as you can see all the time at home with me is doing strange things to cash .. 

or maybe it was the 17th pancake that he ate ..

either way .. 

happy pancake day !

bowling ..

we like to go bowling when we are on the jeff spielmann super cross tour ..

 especially after dinner ..

jeff found this bowling alley that was about 15 minutes from our hotel in dallas ..

it was in an "interesting" part of town ..

there must have been at least 15 bail bonds outfits ..

which led to the discussion of what is a bail bond ..

my explanation ended with .. you better not ever need one and if you do don't call me .. 

then grandpa says .. call me cash .. i'll come and get you 

thanks grandpa ..

because we like to bowl in tulle skirts ..

the bowling alley was saved from destruction by a group of guys ..

it was some where way out in west texas .. they took it all apart .. 

board by board and brought it back to dallas and put it back together

again in an old warehouse .. 

so the balls drift a bit and the scoring isn't real accurate and sometimes

you have to bowl a frame over again ..

but the beer is cold and bowling is fun so it doesn't really matter

if that should have been a strike or not ..

the new project ..

this is our new project ..

it is a 1977 jeep cherokee ..

i am in love with this car .. even if it is a rust bucket deluxe ..

it needs a huge batch of TLC ..

these spots were all rusted out ..

thanks to daniel and travis they are all fixed ..

there is alot of work to still do ..

besides just the cosmetic part ..

transmission .. brakes etc ..

but when it's done .. it's going to be fun car ..

it will look great in the school pick up line ..
