my porch ..

this pretty much sums up my last few weeks ..

stinky shoes .. muddy trucks .. dead squirrels and rotten pumpkins ..

black jack enduro ..

jeff was able to go to cash's race last weekend in okc .. 

he took my big camera and came back with these pics 

he looks so little when he has on all his motorcycle gear .. 

getting ready at the starting line with grandpa .. 

cash says the faster he goes the more dust he can make ..

kinda like a speedometer he told me .. 

this looks pretty fast to me ..

cash moved up to the 7 and 8 year old class this year ..

he is the youngest one in the group ..

as you can tell by his fruit punch dirt stained mouth ..

he had a great day racing !

we had a great weekend in the BIG D celebrating OU/TX weekend ..

we said hello to Big Tex ..

we rode rides ..

and ate corn dogs and funnel cakes

and were dead tired when it was all said and done ..

but can't wait to go back next year !

practice ..

jeff took cash to practice last sunday in arkansas ..

he has a race in okc next weekend and needed to get a little seat time in 

evidently he rode and rode and rode ..

after 3 hours and countless "one more time dad" laps 

he finally was able to get him to call it a day ..

i asked him if he slept on the way home ..

jeff said no .. all he did was talk ..

about all the air that he caught and how fast he was 

and what a great day he had with his dad ..

and yes they are going back ..

very soon

for ellie's birthday we had our usual happy birthday sparkle pancakes

this year she switched the numbers around and said 'look mom .. 21!"

i passed out and fell over

we celebrated at clantons with granny, grandpa, uncle jay and aunt mary ..

it was a wonderful night full of gravy, mashed potatoes and birthday love

hunks of love ..

my hunk of love was here last weekend .. 

except that he has grown .. alot .. 

i asked him .. who is your most favorite person .. 

he points right to me .. 

ok .. so maybe johanna was standing behind me .. 

but i am counting it as ME !!!

why .. i asked him ..

because you bought me new hot wheels he said .. 

and you let me eat cookie dough and drink orange pop

oh .. and did i mention ..

there is a new mini hunk of love to !!

i called home the other day from work to talk to my kids ..

i have been missing them ..

i asked ellie what she was doing ..

i'm working on my puzzle granny got me ..

summer of shakes .. night 9

uncle jay is here to play for the week and shoot off fireworks and swim ..

 he wanted to play summer of shakes with us to ..

so i stayed home while uncle jay and the kids went to sonic ..

after 30 minutes went by i began to wonder what had happened to them .. 

well .. they have totally violated summer of shakes protocol .. 

first .. they had 2 shakes .. peanut butter fudge AND ..

peanut butter caramel pie .. 

and second they ate them both at sonic instead of bringing them home .. 

they did save me one little taste ..

both were way too peanut buttery for me still 

and third they let cash get a nerd slush ..

i am not sure if this picture is after or before his first drink of the nerd slush ..

oh and uncle jay also showed them how to jump off the rocks at sonic and do karate kicks at the same time ..

shake night with me will never match up to this .. and that is just fine with me ..

my guess is they have the rest of the shakes knocked out in 3 days !!

tonight was peanut butter ..

it was wayyyyy tooooo peanut buttery for us ..

we almost had to get a salted caramel shake to wash it down 

not looking forward to the next 2 nights .. maybe the fudge and caramel will help ?

tonight was chocolate hazelnut cream ..

not too chocolatey and just enough hazelnut ..

it was pretty good .. not as good as salted caramel but good .. 

we also missed molly and aunt kimmy 

singing the frozen song on the way to sonic was just not the same without them ..

tonight was salted caramel ..

let's just say that we had to order another shake because we couldn't get the first one away from molly 

by far the best one yet !!

tomorrow .. jalapeno chocolate ..

tonight was oreo caramel ..

it was delicious !! 

not too much caramel .. just enough ..

we will get this one again !!

there were no oreos and it was way to peanut buttery ..

this one is a will not order again ..

we liked it better than oreo cheesecake but it got too chocolaty half way thru

tonight we started the summer of shakes tour ..

every night .. after 8 because they are half price .. we are going to sonic for a shake 

because we couldn't agree which one to try first ..

we decided to start at the top of the list and work our way to the end .. 

yes we are even going to have jalapeno chocolate .. 

tonight it is oreo cheesecake .. 

it tasted tart and had big oreo pieces in it ..

the oreo pieces were my favorite part .. 

cash ate all the whip cream with the crumbles on it ..
