robots .. ping pong balls and skyline ..

we spent our friday in dallas at the hands-on science museum ..

we built robots ..

launched ping pong balls with jeff's brain power .. 

i asked him if he was doing math problems in his head ..

he said no .. he was thinking about the steak that we were going to have for dinner ..

ellie said .. wow dad .. if you did math problems maybe you would make enough 

brain power to run all the lights in here .. 

the kids raced a t-rex .. 

and lost .. 

after dinner we stopped and checked out the skyline ..

and then we got honked at because we were in the middle of the road ..

a ride ..

jeff and i took a little motorcycle ride this weekend ..

just the two of us and a long stretch of highway ..

and gray clouds ..

not happy ..

wesley was not the only one unhappy about how the football game turned out .. 

a chance to breathe ..

thanks to the rain we got a chance to breathe tonight ..

i didn't have to say the words hurry up .. or let's go .. or where are your cleats ..

do you have your soccer ball or don't forget your water .. 

instead it was train whistles and the click clack of the cars .. 

and the occasional hello from barbie .. 

it was a nice way to spend an evening ..

jeff decided to put this together ..

2 hours before ellie's friend birthday party ..

because you know that we didn't have anything else to do before the party started ..

thank goodness ellie can read directions ..

soccer on a cold wet saturday ..

ellie and i spent last saturday playing soccer in the cold and rain .. 

she is once again #9 .. the same # as her dad .. 

after our cold wet soccer game we did go to ron's hamburgers in claremore ..

the cheese tater tots more than made up for the cold ..

oh .. and she won .. even had an assist .. 

happy birthday ellie ..

because soccer and basketball keep us busy every night of the week ..

we had to celebrate with breakfast at stuffins ..

paddle boards for kit and her friends .. 

red beats for ellie's ears .. 

and eggs and toast for breakfast .. 

not a bad way to start your first day of being 11 !!

homecoming parade ..

homecoming was this week ..

the 1st grade theme was duck dynasty ..

the 4th and 5th grade were going to smoke the wildcats ..

thanks to travis we had duck decoys and a boat camouflaged with tall grass .. 

we even made a giant beard out of cardboard for the front of the truck .. 

ellie is supposed to be throwing the candy not eating it .. 

charlie did not think that the parade was all that exciting .. 

after the parade we headed to the football field for hot dogs and friends ..

sams ..

jeff went to sams for toilet paper and monster ..

he came home with an air hockey table ..

that has to be assembled ..
