happy 100th day !

today we celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten ..

and 4th grade ..

the kids wore shirts with 100 items on them to school ..

they are going to work on 100 things today .. at least that's what we told cash ..

he thought that he was going to get to play outside all day .. 

motocross .. day 1

daddy and grandpa are giving cash last minute pointers .. 

never hurts to have 2 people help you at the starting gate .. 

after each race we would go back to the RB .. we didn't have to walk far .. 

thank goodness for rockstar parking  ..

we watched movies and ate oreos and chips ahoy ..

it was not a bad way to spend a weekend ..

pick up line ..

when ellie was not 10 .. more like 4 .. 

 i would pick her up from school on wednesdays at new haven and then we would go and

pick up ella at school and then onto ballet at ms. shelleys ..

during boat show move in week it just so happened that i had a very big boat

trailer behind me when i picked the girls up ..

this was not a big deal for the parents at new haven .. they were used to big boat trailers 

and their parking lot was huge .. 

for the parents at holland hall .. big trailers are a different thing ..

especially when the drive thru pick up line is skinny and not really trailer friendly ..

we managed to weave around all the fancy little cars though .. didn't bump a one .,

we picked up ella who came bouncing out and hopped into the car so happy to see us  .. 

she didn't even see the trailer .. or care .. we were going to ballet .. that was all ellie or ella cared about ..

not the hanging open mouths .. finger pointing and stares because ella's ride came thru 

the pick up line with a 40 foot boat trailer .. 

this memory will always make me smile .. 

big boat day

circa 2009 ..

ellie is 6 .. cash is 2 and emma jane is 6 ..

circa 2013 ..

he has gone from riding in the wagon with the pretty girls to riding on his scooter and directing traffic .. 

i can only imagine what the next 5 years or so brings .. 

we are getting ready for the boat show ..

the boats are cleaned and covered ..

and ready to go .. 

we will haul the big boats in on monday ..

the kids are out of school so they will get to go with us ..

for some reason they find this very exciting ..

they LOVE big boat move in day ..

the fork lift guys are here to give the fork lift a quick tune-up

we take it with us .. it is almost as important as the guys ..

we made a new twirly bird stand for this year ..

it seems there is going to be a huge boat twirling over my head ..

they are washing the trucks and packing everything into the trailer ..

i secretly love this time of year .. 

there is just a bit of excitement in the air and an extra spring in everyone's step ..

cash got a bag that is bigger than he is full of new motorcycle gear ..

he is now officially a rock star !

ellie and her american girls got a new horse and sleigh ..

now if we can just get some snow they will be set .. 

ellie got clever this year and played a big trick on her dad .. 

usually granny stuffs an oatmeal container with new socks for jeff ..

this year .. ellie put a little note in the bottom instead ...

try harder next year !!!

my christmas wishes are a little late this year ..

just like my christmas cards .. that will now be happy valentine's day cards ..

but i do hope that everyone had a christmas filled with family and friends and that wonderful christmas memories were made

snowmobiling ..

we took a break from skiing to go snowmobiling ..

first we had to have a back of the car picnic .. we didn't want to get hungry at 14000 feet ..

no cash didn't get to drive this ..

he wished that he did  ..

it seems that uncle greg's custom made shirts are having a hard time fitting around his belly ..

after dinner we got to watch the snow cats ..

then we ate ice cream ..
