lake day .. finally ..

finally .. school is out .. we are now officially on our "summer schedule" .. 

cash thought that it would fun to wake surf behind the boat ..

so our first stop was to the shop to pic up the surf board and borrow someones tools so that we assemble the board .. seems you have to put the fins on yourself .. 

orange pop is a must .. 

since granny and grandpa have a boat with a table we took our orange pop and cheetos over to their boat to eat .. cash left just a few orange finger marks on dad's nice white seats .. 

thank goodness mom brought lucky .. he licked them all off .. 

cliff jumping .. 

floating .. 

tubing .. 

cash needs a hair cut !!

wake boarding .. 

napping .. 

relaxing .. 

we never did wake surf ..

thats for next week .. 

the last day of 3rd grade ..

to celebrate the end of 3rd grade we had a few of ellie's classmates over .. 

to jump off the rock .. 

and fly thru the air ..

and float on noodles ..

cash liked having the girls over .. 

and was sad when i told him that they were only staying for awhile .. not the whole summer .. 

he kept a watchful eye on them ..

we ate hot dogs .. 

and drank grape pop .. 

and wished them all a fun summer !

super strong means that you can ride down the hill in your french canadian undies on your once pink barbie bicycle .. 

at least he is wearing a helmet and shoes !

simple things ..

yesterday i picked ellie up a little early from school .. i was missing her .. i needed to run to vinita for a few things and i thought the trip would be much more fun with her in tow .. we stopped at sonic and got a diet coke and a cherry limeade slush .. it was happy hour .. you can't pass up happy hour at sonic .. i explained to her what a "coke date" is .. she wanted to know if it is still called a "coke date" if you don't have a coke .. i said yes .. it doesn't matter what you get to drink .. it's the time that you spend with your friends on the "coke date" .. right now those friends are girls .. i didn't add the part about going on a "coke date" with boys .. that is for later .. i am not ready for that part of the "coke date" explanation .. it's coming i know .. but not today .. after sonic we stopped at s&b sports and picked up our shirts .. we dropped off our glass at the recycle place and then took the "roller coaster" way to walmart .. it has been a long time since just ellie and i have been to walmart by ourselves .. either cash and or jeff are with us and it is just not the same .. we found her some new t-shirts for summer .. we got party favors for her class party next week .. we looked at shorts .. and movies and lip gloss .. we ate hershey air kisses from the bag and picked out flowers for mothers day .. we didn't have to look at the truck aisle .. or stand in the fertilizer aisle .. we weren't rushed or run over with a cart .. it was a perfect afternoon at walmart ..

geek rescue ..

we bought a new tuner the other day .. and since jeff nor i are super brilliant when 

it comes to hooking up electronics which are then hooked up to tv's and to cable boxes and blue ray players we took the advice of the nice people at best buy and had geek rescue come and do it .. 

alex d came out .. he is SUPER !!!

not only did he get us all hooked up and ready to go .. 

he got rid of this problem .. 

meet our new remote .. just 1 remote to control what it took 6 remotes to do 

we can listen to our ipod play lists on the outdoor speakers by the pool .. the kids can watch a movie in the living room and it will even put my laundry away .. all at the same time ..

but of course it doesn't work now .. because jeff couldn't wait the whole 5 minutes that it would have taken me to walk down the hill from mom's to show him how it worked .. instead of waiting for me to explain how easy and simple it is to use he just started pushing buttons .. 

so .. 

i am hoping that alex d will remember that i baked him a batch of chocolate chip cookies and come back out and fix it ..

i was really looking forward to it putting my laundry away ..

because every moto-crosser wears his chest protector while they eat their cocoa krispies

happy birthday grandpa ..

we celebrated my dads birthday the other night .. 

soccer and piano are over so we have our evenings back ..

now .. if i can just get school to be over .. 

cash helped him blow out the candles on his cherry pie .. 

field trip time ..

the 3rd grade classes went to drillers baseball game for their class trip ..

it was a perfect day for a baseball game .. 

cash got to skip school and go to .. 

he loves to play baseball at home in the front yard .. 

so i was curious if he would like to "watch" baseball ..

the ball almost made it over the fence .. 

we made a trip to the concession stand ..

 lucas got nachos and instantly cash wanted to be friends with him .. 

lucas was nice and shared .. 

between innings they played music and the kids danced .. 

katie has some moves .. 

we had a fun time ..

 it got a bit hot at the end but nothing that a blue helmet full of dippin dots can't fix ..
