100 days ..

ellie celebrated the 100th day of 3rd grade on tuesday .. she got to dress like she was a 100 years old 

this means that granny .. ellie and i hit the vinita wal-mart on sunday before we went to the movie .. 

we found a small "house coat" .. yuck .. i can hardly say those words .. please please please don't ever let me wear a "house coat" .. that goes on the "list" for sure mrs. todd ..  it was to long but granny hemmed it up with her pinking shears .. a pair of knee highs .. rolled down and uneven .. a pretty pair of pink slippers for her shuffling feet .. sponge rollers .. a hair net and a chain keeper for her glasses .. 

after we rolled her hair i shook baby powder all over it to give it a gray and dull look .. 

thank you emily for that brilliant idea .. 

this is ellie and kinzee .. kinzee is the bq version of 100 years old ..

i hope that ellie and kinzee are still friends when they are 100 years old .. 

i will keep this picture for them ..

i think that it may serve as a useful piece of information in future years ..

boat show .. preview night ..

after starting out the day behind the power curve .. i was able to at least catch up with it .. we got "moved" into the frat house for the week .. shirts are hung and we have been to both the grocery store and the liquor store .. 

we had a fun preview night .. 

and .. the weather looks pretty good for the week .. 

it was nice to wake up and not see 3 feet of snow on the ground 

puppy love and slobber ..

we went out to aunt mary's on sunday..

she is fostering 2 litters of puppies ..

we thought that she might need us to help her love on the puppies ..

they loved to chew on little ellie's hair .. 

and climb into our laps .. 

and nibble on granny's ears .. 

and chew on shoe laces ..

and pull on sleeves .. 

he is the the brute of the bunch .. look at his square face ..  

and those eyes .. hello there .. 

and that nose .. 

ellie took them outside for a bit .. 

and snuck in a little extra love squeeze

this little guy was my favorite .. he was the quiet one of the bunch .. 

happy to just sit on your lap and be loved .. 

oh no .. the puppies have overtaken ellie .. 

we had to take a shower when we got home because we were covered in puppy slobber .. 

not a bad thing to be covered in ..

big boat move in ..

yesterday was big boat move in day .. 

so we meet at the shop at 8:45 .. hooked up to the boats and headed to tulsa .. 

there were 7 of us .. 

all lined up ..

going down the road .. 

one after another ..

yes .. we had traffic backed up .. 

in we went .. 

cash was hungry .. after all it had been 2 hours since he had last eaten .. so he sat on the back of granpda's big big red truck and had a picnic with granny .. 

he was telling how granny how to hook up to a boat .. 

you have to back your truck backwards ranny .. and then rocky with wave and hollar at you .. and then you wait a minute and then rocky tells you to go .. 

got it cash .. 

can we say .. cash can not brush his hair .. 

all the big boats are dropped off .. 

they will start moving everything else during the week .. 

it's that time of year again .. 

what a week .. part 1

it has been a heck of a week .. it is the week before we move into the boat show so there is all kinds of craziness going on .. plus .. jeff thought to start a project this week as well .. 

i was supposed to be outside taking pics of the outdoor fireplace but the sunset was to pretty to pass up .. so i snapped one of it as well .. 

before .. the project .. the crazy wind knocked over and blew my chairs everywhere .. i have been to busy to go and pick them up ..

on tuesday morning baker pools shows up with there big truck .. trailer .. and .. 

cash's favorite .. the bobcat .. 

and lots and lots of distressed wood .. 

poor guys .. of course they come on the day when it is 8 degrees outside and windy .. 

but that did not stop them .. 

they assembled .. 

drilled .. 

stood up and attached all the pieces in just a day .. 

we just have to get a fan and the lights and we are good to go .. 

i think that it will be nice to have a little shade this summer .. 

now .. 

we just need to make up our minds on outdoor furniture .. 

until then .. cocktail hour will be held in the blown over brown chairs .. 

the concrete mixer is stuck ..

jeff and i spent the weekend away celebrating our 18th anniversary and my early birthday .. 

when we got home cash announced that his concrete truck was stuck .. 

this means that he has to get out all his big heavy straps .. work gloves .. safety harness and hard hat .. 

strap the big hook to the end of his bed .. 

run the strap from his bed room into .. 

the living room .. wrap it around all the furniture .. 

connect it with a spring from the trampoline to the coffee table .. 

across to the fireplace ..

and then finally to his chair .. 

despite all this .. his concrete mixer is still stuck .. 

he needs to go to the shop with jeff and get that really big strap ..

that will work he says ..
